Classroom and school-day volunteering
LVJUSD manages visitor and volunteer approval through the Raptor system. Review the district’s current requirements before creating an account or beginning the clearance process.

General clearance
For classroom and other directly supervised on-campus volunteering, LVJUSD currently requires:
- A volunteer application and Code of Conduct acknowledgement in the Raptor portal
- A government-issued ID when checking in at the school office
- A clear tuberculosis screening record on file
- Required Mandated Reporter and Child Abuse Prevention training
Volunteer clearances expire June 30 and must be renewed each school year.
Extended clearance
Additional clearance may be required for roles involving students without direct staff supervision, including some field trips, overnight chaperoning, driving, or one-on-one activities.
These roles require school-site approval and may require LiveScan fingerprinting, driver documentation, or other records. Follow the district guidance for the requirements that apply to your role.
Check the district page before applying
Requirements depend on the volunteer role and may change. LVJUSD’s Volunteer Information page is the authoritative source for current clearance steps, forms, and training.
