Membership & Hospitality

As the "face" of Sunset PTO, the Membership & Hospitality (M&H) team is primarily responsible for welcoming new parents and families, answering questions about the PTO in general, and encouraging membership throughout the year.

In addition to planning annual events like the Back to School social, members of the M&H team also coordinate staff luncheons, kindness week activities, teacher appreciation, and acts as a liaison for room parents.  

If you attend a PTO event -- whether on-campus or virtually, chances are that our amazing M&H volunteers had a hand in it! And while we rely on the help of all our board and committee members, the truth is, M&H is the driving force behind the Sunset PTO personality.

• Goodies & Games with Grownups
• Kindness Week

PTO membership is open to any parent or guardian of a student enrolled at Sunset Elementary, as well as to employees of the school. Membership is $20 and consists of one family, with one vote towards the election of board members. It also includes exclusive access to our Online Member Directory.

In addition, members are invited to attend our General Meetings, held twice a year.
